Like warm breath on a cold window pane, Clare Muldaur's magical voice is a light, mysterious vapour, a lunging soprano yet quavering like a fallen soufflé.  Indebted to Bessie Smith yet swinging effortlessly from jazz to fold to noir and back again, this Brooklyn-based chanteuse overflows with style.  Sharp, urbane and deliciously unstuck in time.  Highly recommended!
