After enjoying some sweaty club shows in Europe in 2009 the Brighton cross between punk and traditional English folk are touring grass roots towns and cities first played when they started and some they never played before (rock trivia: your humble promoters first brought them to York in Sept ‘98.) And, of course, now celebrating 20th Anniversary debut "A Weapon Called The Word" (reissued on their label On The Fiddle) and ground-breaking ... er ... blogumentary, if you will, with ex-Chumba Dunstan Bruce and featuring candid tour footage and interviews with fans, pressure groups and activists. Check out here for daily uploaded video clips. The Levellers, then. Still politically active, still opinionated, still writing great music and STILL a great band.
